Ingredients for Sweet Boondi recipe

Gram flour (Besan)                         250 grams

Sugar                                                     600 grams

Green cardamom                            6-7 (grind it finely)

Saffron                                                 10-12 threads (make saffron water)

Making Sugar syrup for bundi recipe

  • First of all, add sugar and 2 cups of water as per the above-mentioned quantity in a wide pan and mix well.
  • Keep this pan on the gas and cook, keep the flame high.
  • When the sugar dissolves completely after cooking for about 8-10 minutes, check the consistency of 1 thread by placing a drop of syrup between the thumb and finger.
  • When making sugar syrup, stir the spoon, the sugar dirt appears on the side, remove it from the spoon and separate it.
  • At this time the sugar dissolves completely and the sugar syrup becomes sticky.
  • Remove the syrup from the gas and turn off the heat, keep it aside.
  • In the prepared syrup, add green cardamom to taste.

  • Take gram flour in a large pot and add water slowly to prepare batter for the boondi.

  • Add saffron water to the batter.
  • Put ghee in a pan and heat it on medium flame.
