Potato papad recipe (aloo papad recipe)
The best time to make potato papad (aloo papad), potato chips, rice papad (chawal ke papad), pickle etc. is summer. Come, today we are telling you the easy method of making potato papad (aloo papad recipe or aalu ke papad).

Ingredients for aloo papad recipe
Potato 1 1/2 kg
Red chili flakes 1/2 tsp
Cumin seeds 1 1/2 tsp
Oil 02 tbsp
Salt as per taste
* Keep the salt a little less, because after frying, more salt is used.
How to make aloo papad recipe
Potato mixture
- Remove rotten and chopped dirty potatoes and wash them well, then add water to the cooker and keep it boiling. Boil it for 4-5 minutes so that the potatoes boil well, but do not boil too much.
- Allow the cooker to cool, take out the potatoes and keep them cool. When the potato cools down, grate it.
- Now add red chili flakes, salt and cumin in grated potatoes as per above mentioned quantity and mix well.
- Mix the potato mixture well and keep it aside.
Aalu ke papad Recipe
- Lay a plastic sheet to make potato papad.
- Now apply oil in both the palms and make the balls by rolling the potatoes.
- Make a uniform sized balls using all the potato mixture.
- Place one ball on a plastic sheet and cover with another plastic sheet (small piece).
- Apply pressure with a small plate with both hands and spread 4-5 inches.
- 1 1/2 kg Approximately 32-34 papad can be made from potato.
- If the papad is not spread well, then it can also be spread by pressing with a finger on the plastic sheet.
- Now you have to dry the papad, for this you put the polythene sheet in the sun with the papad. If the sun is strong then the potato papad dries in 1-2 days. If the sun is light then it takes 2-3 days. When the papad dries completely, it leaves the sheet on its own.
- Your potato papad is ready, heat it in oil and with the help of tongs, immediately add it to the oil and drain. Do not over fry it otherwise it will tasteless.
- After the potato papad has dried, keep it in an air tight container. It can be eaten for a long time, I use my papad for about 1 year.

- Use rock salt to make fasting papad.
- If you want to make more spicy then you can also add black pepper.
