Ingredients for Ginger pickle
Ginger 250 grams (cut into small pieces)
Lemon 200 grams (take out the juice)
Salt as per taste
Asafetida 0 2 pinches (grated)
Turmeric Powder 1/2 tsp
Black pepper 1/4 tsp (grated)
Black salt 1/2 tsp (grated)
Red pepper powder 1 tsp
Preparation :
- First of all, take ginger according to the quantity mentioned above and wash it with clean water, keep it under a fan in a paper napkin for the water to dry completely. Peel the ginger peel after it dries well. Now cut it into small pieces.
- Wash and wipe the lemon, then cut it with a knife and extract the juice in a small glass or ceramic bowl, and keep aside.
Ginger Pickle recipe
- Now take ginger pieces in a large bowl/ plate, add turmeric powder, black salt, asafetida, black pepper powder, red pepper powder and salt as per taste and toss slowly.
- Add lemon juice to the bowl and mix well, if it is difficult to toss, you can also mix with a spoon.
- Take your Ginger pickle is ready. You should keep the pickle in a glass or plastic container, but wash and dry it thoroughly first. The container should be well dried in the sun, there should be no moisture at all.
- After filling the ginger pickle in the container, close the lid properly and keep it in the sun for 2-3 days. If there is no sunlight then keep it at room temperature but keep stirring occasionally, after about 3,4 days the pickle will be ready to eat.
- You can eat ginger pickle for about 1 month. If you want to preserve it for a long time, then add more lemon juice in which the pickle is immersed.
Suggestion
- Do not remove the pickle with a damp spoon, shake the jar whenever the pickle is taken out.
- Use non-fiber ginger, the pickle will be better and will not get stuck in the teeth. We have used fibrous ginger, it is also difficult to slice.
