Ingredients for Aloo gobi recipe

Potatoes,                           02 peeled and diced
cauliflower                        1/2 chopped into small florets
Onion                                01 finely chopped
Garlic cloves                     03 minced
Ginger                               1/2 inch grated
Tomatoes                          02finely chopped
Turmeric powder              1/2 tsp
Cumin powder                  1 tsp
Coriander powder             1 tsp
Red chili powder               1/2 tsp
Garam masala                  1/2 tsp
oil                                      2 tbsp
Salt                                    to taste
Water                                as required

Instructions:

  • Heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and fry until it becomes translucent.
  • Add minced garlic and grated ginger and fry for another 2-3 minutes until the raw smell goes away.
  • Then add chopped tomatoes and cook until they become soft and mushy.
  • Add turmeric powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, red chili powder, and garam masala to the pan and stir well.
  • Add the diced potatoes and cauliflower florets to the pan and mix well with the spices.
  • Pour enough water to cover the vegetables and add salt to taste. Cover the pan and let it cook on medium heat for 15-20 minutes, or until the vegetables are soft and cooked through.
  • Once the vegetables are cooked, use a blender or hand blender to blend the mixture to form a smooth gravy. If the gravy is too thick, add more water to thin it out.

Suggestion

1. You can also make this vegetable by adding 1/2 cup curd, its taste will also be different.
2. We have used potato in our vegetable, you can use any yam if you want.
4. Use fresh and soft cauliflower, the taste will be good and insects will also come out of it.
Always blanch cauliflower in hot water, if there are worms then you will get rid.
